1st Mail, Journaling, Beach & Dinner out

Got our first letters in the mail today from family back in the US

Here is our house
Here is what a lot of our meals look like - basic foods and pretty colorful if I don't say so myself.

Enjoying ice cream on the grass in front of Luna Park after a super hot day!

I want the kids to be able to look back at this trip and have something to help remind them of the amazing adventures they are experiencing. So they have been journaling. I am planning to make a Blurb book for our family from my blog with all the pictures I am taking.

Derek wrote our shopping list one day. He has the neatest printing ever!
The queue (or line) for the trampoline at the Adventure Park. It is so cool how this works. The kids sit in line and each kid gets the same amount of time on the clock. When the traffic light goes off the next kid gets a turn. The kids are able to manage the system by themselves as the rules are clearly stated. The system works great!

Each week after worshiping at Hillsong Melnbourne we each lunch out and then stay in the city and do an adventure. It is very fun to explore each weekend someplace new.
Here we are checking out the Laneways, side streets that have really cool graffiti on the walls.

On the way home from the Laneways we stopped at this cool local bookshop and bought a famous Australian children's book, The Magic Pudding. The kids each bought themselves a book with their own money.

Kids started school on January 8th. Matt helped me out on the first day since there was so much new stuff to figure out on with the online school the first day. Grateful we have the opportunity to be here in Australia and that I am able to teach the kids! I've always wanted to try homeschooling!!

Kids invited a new friend to join them in their play today.
 LOVE this sweet face!

Went out to dinner on Akland street.

There are several delicious pastry shops with glass windows just tempting us with their treats. One day we will try something from this shop.

After school one day we headed to the beach. The kids LOVE the beach!
We are grateful that its only a 10 minute walk from our house.
They are trying to dig a tunnel to connect up to each other.

Found an inch worm the kids found while doing school one day!
