Week 34
Here is a quick shot of my ever growing belly. I am definitely looking pregnant these days and it is really fun. This past weekend when Matt and I were at the grocery store, the girl at the register congratulated me on being pregnant even while I was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. This is big progress! My students love to point out to me that my belly button is sticking out. They also love to give me advice about the little guy. It is really cute! Time keeps moving so fast. I have less than 3 weeks until I go on maternity leave. I am really excited to have (hopefully) a couple of weeks before Baby Bu arrives.
Trinity School Baby Shower
This afternoon my coworkers at Trinity threw a surprise baby shower for me. It was so sweet. They showered me with wonderful new books to add to our ever growing library. As an educator, this is an amazing gift. I cannot wait to read these books to our son! I am so blessed to be loved by so many wonderful people. Thank you fellow Trinity coworkers so much!!

Ellen and I actually were both celebrated at the shower. Ellen and I work together at Trinity. She is due 2 weeks after me and is also having a boy. It has been so fun to have someone else to go through the pregnancy with.
At Trinity there is a tradition that Mary, the head of school, makes a baby blanket for each expecting mom. Here is me opening her present and then a close up of the blanket. The colors match our bedding! Thank you Mary for your thoughtfulness.

32 Weeks and visit from Mom
My mom came out to visit for my spring break, while Matt was at a conference in Seattle. The weather was perfect for her visit. We ate lunch outside everyday, ran errands, went for long walks, watched several chick flick movies, cooked, got the nursery ready and relaxed.

32 week belly shot
We made Katie's recipe for GF lemon pound cake and it turned out delicious.
Mom and I went and got pedicures.

Dusting Off the Bread Machine

I brought our bread machine out of the closet today to make some GF bread. Back when I was first diagnosed with Celiacs (6 years ago), the only bread I would eat was my homemade bread. So I thought I'd give it another try. I found the GF bread making book at the library and then made a trip to Whole Foods for all the ingredients. The bread turned out great, but definitely did not taste as good as I remembered. I have enough flour to make a couple more loaves of bread so we'll see what I can add to make the bread taste better. I did the math with the ingredients hoping that I would save a lot of money with each loaf compared to the GF bread I regularly buy, but sadly the homemade GF bread was $0.50 per slice, while the Whole Foods GF bread was $0.56 per slice. Not enough of a savings to make me want to make the bread on a regular basis. At least there are many more great options these days. Thankfully, much has changed in the Gluten Free world in 6 years.

Lake Tahoe
Over winter break, Matt and I went to Lake Tahoe for the weekend with our friends Jacob and Ellen. While the guys went snowboarding each day, Ellen and I (the preggo women) got a pedicure, went on walks by the lake, watched movies, napped, read and just relaxed. It was a great weekend.

BOB Revolution
Matt and I were so excited to purchase our jogging stroller. We did a lot of research about which stroller to buy, but after taking this one for a test run at our local running store we were sold. The BOB has a front wheel that can lock into place for running and can also swivel for excellent steering ability. The BOB also has a great car seat adapter so that our infant carrier will fit securely on the stroller. We are excited for all the adventures that we will go on with this stroller and our baby boy.
