North End, Mike's Pastry, Paul Revere's House, and the USS Constitution

We took the kids for an adventure in Boston on Derek's 6th birthday.
Visiting the North End early Sunday morning. Mike's Pastry was empty!
Nothing like birthday Gelato (at 9:00 in the morning!) at Mike's Pastry.
The kids had been dying to try Gelato.
Walking through the streets of the North End hand in hand. LOVE this!
Paul Revere's house
Then we walked through the North End all the way to Charlestown Navy Yard to see the Constitution.
On the Constitution - "Old Ironsides!"
Looking at the dry dock and the wood that they will use to repair the ship.
Rylie and Daddy coming up from below deck.

The USS Constitution
In the museum the kids were able to sign their name using a special pen in a sheet of copper that will be installed on the USS Constitution during the restoration. This copper will be put on the bottom of the Constitution for the next 20 years to protect the hull of the ship. SO COOL!

Checking out the Constitution Museum.
It was VERY educational and we learned a ton!
Learning how a ship is made and making a ship themselves.
