Derek and the entire 2nd grade class performed in a musical called "This is America." He did a fabulous job memorizing all the songs and he sang his heart out. He decided to challenge himself and auditioned for a solo instead of just lines. Mr. Budd gave him the most difficult solo because Derek has a very good voice. Derek nailed his solo! It was so fun to watch him sing!!!
"We won't forget our Veterans!"
Dinner with the Clark Family at their new house. We made lemonade, ate smores, and hung out!
Praise God we got new grass!!!! Our old grass was still under warranty and it was replaced for free!!
I love how green it looks.
Matt and I took Rylie to an ASU gymnastics meet. It was super unique because they were also having a wrestling tournament happening at the same time!
SO proud of Derek. He just finished Harry Potter #4. He also accomplished an AR goal he set for himself at the beginning of the school year of reading 1 million words! He was the first 2nd grader this year to achieve it. Way to go Derek!!!! We are so proud of your determination.
Snow on the McDowell Mountains. We had a crazy storm this year and parts of North Scottsdale about 20 minutes from us got snow this year!! It was strange because one day we went hiking and then the next day the same mountains we hiked through were covered in snow!!
Teddy Roosevelt
Derek researched and read about Theodore Roosevelt and then dressed up like him
for his presentation.
SCA's first ever Literacy Night
"For the Love of Books"
