ANZAC Day 2018

ANZAC Day stands for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps. It is a national day of remembrance in "Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations and the contributions and suffering of all those who have served." We went to watch the ANZAC Day parade in the CBD of Brisbane with Ing-Mari. The parade lasted over 2 hours long...we ended up leaving early because it was so long. There were several fly overs by army planes and army helicopters. It was so neat to watch how another country honors the men and women who have served and died in wars. The spectators waved Australian flags and clapped and cheered during the parade. What a great experience.
