Christmas 2014

This year for Christmas we did not travel anywhere and Matt took 2 weeks off! It was incredible! We had 2 weeks filled with family fun and great memories. We went on hikes, we built Legos, watched movies, slept in, played games and had dinners with Uncle Mark's family and Uncle Kevin's family. It was a memorable Christmas.
Both kids were very excited for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This year Derek asked to make cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve and they were super excited to wake up on Christmas morning. Although Derek slept in until 7:30 and we had to wake up Rylie.

Decorating gingerbread houses...carrying on Grammy's tradition.

Derek wrapping the present he got Rylie. (a Frozen I Spy book)
Dinner in Flagstaff before riding the Polar Express
Riding the Polar Express! The kids loved going to the North Pole to see Santa! On the way up we got hot chocolate and cookies and on the way home we sang Christmas carols. This year both kids knew just about all the words of every song and sang along! It was so much fun!

Making paper chains to count down to Christmas.
Making peppermint ice cream

 Roasting marshmallows
Christmas Eve service at our church was awesome! The kids got to sit on the stage and listen to the Christmas story. They did awesome sitting with us during Pastor Doug's message. I will always remember Rylie in her twirling purple dress dancing in the aisle of church. With such joy she danced to the music. It was precious!!
Christmas morning - kids woke up to a train under the tree from Santa. :)
Sparkling purple Crocs one of Rylie's favorite Christmas presents.
