Rylie 13 months

Rylie is such a happy, adventurous, and determined girl. Rylie is a peanut! Its so funny how she is so little and Derek is so big! This month it seems like she has become more of a toddler than a baby!!! Rylie LOVES to eat fruit, mainly strawberries. She continues to babble away and has said a number of new words this month, most of which I cannot remember (must be 2nd child syndrom) but her favorite words include "uh-oh and Croc." Her hair has grown long enough in the back for pigtails!! She tries to do everything she sees her big brother doing. Rylie is now getting her own snacks out of the pantry and bringing them to me for me so I can pour it into a bowl for her. She puts away the plastic kid dishes from the dishwasher in the correct cabinet and throws her diaper away. Rylie takes 2 naps each day (I wish we could drop the first nap so we could go out for longer stretches, but she is not quite ready and I am enjoying the one-on-one time with Derek.) and wakes up at 6 am on the dot every morning. Recently she has wanted only mommy to hold her, which is exhausting but fun to see how much she loves me! Rylie transitioned from formula to whole milk and drinks 3- 4 bottles a day. She is about the same age Derek was when we moved to Arizona and it is bringing back a flood of memories for me! We LOVE you Rylie and are so thankful God chose us to be your parents.

Rylie LOVES to ride Derek's scooter. I am sure it won't be long before she is riding Derek's Strider.

Rylie likes eating her sandwich big girl style. She doesn't want me to break it up into small pieces because she sees everyone else eating it whole.

Rylie LOVES to eat with a spoon and gets very annoyed if we try to feed her. She wants to do it herself. She is a very determined girl.

Rylie LOVES to color. We spend a lot of time making sure she doesn't eat the crayons.

Rylie is adventurous and LOVES to climb!!! We find her on top of shelves, stools, the tricycle, in the refrigerator, and climbing into the bath tub on her own too. We get told that "Rylie loves to climb!" from the childcare workers at church all the time because they find her climbing everything on the playground with no fear!

New fashion statement?! Not sure how Rylie managed to do this to her jammies. We are now putting her in one piece jammies since 2 pieces don't seem to be working at this point. :)
