We had a New Year's Day college football watching party at our house.
First hike of the new year with Caden and Bella at Spur Cross Ranch.
We are realizing now that this hike is just too easy for our kids. But the kids love it
and it brings back such good memories of hiking this trail when they were young.
We even found ice on the hike!!
Derek and Rylie got scooters for Christmas and loved scooting around the house!
Playing Harry Potter and pretending to be Snape's class of Magical Potions.
They were concocting some crazy potion.
These 2 goofballs trying not to laugh and cannot contain their laughter.
They have such a sweet friendship!
Rylie got to go to a friend's birthday party at the American Girl Doll Store. She had a great time!My cousin Andrea came out to visit and we took her hiking. It was a great day!
Helping Mama cook the tortillas for Taco Night.
Handsome boy!
LOVE that my children love to read. Here they are reading at the SCA library before school starts.
Another trip to the park!
We went to Hoopcoming at SCA and saw the Varisty boys and girls play basketball.
I finally got all of my Instagram posts into a book!!! I LOVE how it turned out.
Derek played basketball this year and loved it. He loves whatever sport he is playing!
Another hike with friends from SCA. Small world is that they went to college with Jens Omli,
Matt's roommate in his Masters program at Springfield College.
Picking fresh grapefruit for breakfast!
Playdate with Grace. The girls played school with their American Girl Dolls and we made slime!
This girl is always on her hands doing cartwheels or handstands!!
During Derek's basketball practice she would practice her gymnastics for an hour
(the entire practice). It is so fun to watch her get stronger and love a sport.
Go Sundevils!! Fork 'em. We went to watch the University of Utah compete against
ASU in women's gymnastics. Its so fun to watch gymnastics.
Handsome boy after a haircut!
When Daddy travels for work, the kids love to sleep with me. Rylie is usually the first to ask to sleep with me. She loves to fall asleep holding my hand. I thought I'd take a picture
of this to remember it! When one kid sleeps in the bed the other sleeps on the floor and then the following night they switch. It is so sweet!
Rylie's 100 Days of school poster. It was 100 pictures things she loves in groups of 10 - college gymnastics, her doing gymnastics, puppy dogs, her family, dolphins and Australia.
Derek read and learned about Theodore Roosevelt. After reading the book, he made a poster with some facts on it and then later dressed up at Teddy Roosevelt to present to the class.Rylie blasted off into space after learning about the solar system. She researched a planet and then traveled to the planet with 2 other classmates. When they returned they were interviewed by the local newspaper and were asked several questions that they answered using the information gathered during their research. Afterwards the news reporters traveled to space and then Rylie and her friends interviewed them. It was so cute!
Planet necklace Rylie made during her Space Party.
Derek started playing baseball this season. It is kid pitch. He LOVES it, of course.
Writing her Valentines
Shooting some hoops....getting better all the time.
A sweet note from Rylie that I found in my book.
