We love watching House and got Bob and Lisa hooked on it. Here we are enjoying non stop episodes of House on DVD without the commercials. What could be better than this?

How many girls does it take to get a pack-and-play open? Finally they had to call Fritz to get the job done!
It was such a blessing to go on this retreat with such great friends - Jenny, Laura, Lindsay, Kristy (and baby Evie), Sarah (and Amelia), Lucy, Emily, and Amy.

Each morning Amy and I walked on the beach for an hour and watched the sunrise. God sure does know how to make a beautiful sunrise!
The girls of our Family Group went on the Women's Retreat at the Day Shore Spa Resort in Daytona Beach in September. It was a great weekend. Friday night we all called our hubbies who were having a guys night playing poker. We celebrated Laura's birthday, ate junk food, stayed up late, watched movies, went to the beach, and had FUN!

On the climb up the lighthouse there was a bucket that weighed as much as it would have when it was full of oil. The lighthouse keeper had to climb the stairs with the bucket of oil daily to keep the lamp lit. It was heavy!
The climb seemed so simple compared to Bunker Hill, but the view at the top was still gorgeous.
While in St. Augustine Matt and I climbed a lighthouse. It was not as narrow or hot and stuffy as the Bunker Hill Monument.
Paul and Marilyn came to visit us in Florida. We took them all around Gainesville and then to St. Augustine. We saw gators, visited the bathouse, ate some fresh Talapia from a St. Augustine fish market, and watched the Florida/Auburn football game. It was a fun and busy weekend.

We ate dinner together outside on the water in Jacksonville that night. Amy and I were quite hungry after shopping all day, meanwhile the guys were stuffed after sampling all sorts of beers. The waterfront was gorgeous and the food was delicious. On the drive home we listened to the Gators game.
While shopping I could not help but get something for Matt. It was a perfect fit - a Nike dry fit football t-shirt.
While they waited for us to spend all our money Matt and Tom changed the dinner reservations at the Brew Pub, had a private tour of the Brew Pub by the brewmaster himself, and sampled quite a few beers.
Amy and I went shopping for over 4 hours and the guys had planned on us shopping for maybe 2 hours.
Here are the happy husbands!
Matt and Tom took Amy and Christen on a surprise double date, which they had been planning and saving for for months. We had no idea where we were going - the beach, horseback riding, aquarium, picnic lunch etc. Finally we ended up in Jacksonville, Florida. They gave us each money and directions to go on a shopping spree at an outdoor mall while they enjoyed football and beer at River City Brew Pub.

This summer we vacationed in Peterborough, New Hampshire. We stayed in a cottage called Ledgedge on a remote lake. This was the 1st time we had taken an entire week together since our honeymoon and we had a fabulous time. God blessed us with such an amazing week of relaxation.
Some of our memories include hiking Crotched Mountain, swimming across the lake, canoeing, star gazing, reading on the dock, talking, Dunkin' Donuts coffee, puzzles, no TV or cell phones, and much more.
Who knew that our trunk could hold 4 giant tubes?
These tubes carried us down the Ichneteknee River, a natural spring here in Gainesville with a constant temperature of 72 degrees. With crystal clear water we could see everything below us as the current carried us down the river. Along the way we saw turtles, birds, fish, butterflies and a whole family of otters. We had the whole river to ourselves and enjoyed Florida's nature at its finest.

Go Gators! Here is the Family Group Tailgating Crew for the season opener. We enjoyed great food and fun as well as lots of sweat. We brought almost everything - the grill, plenty of food (homemade hummus), drinks (lots of water), paper products - but forgot the condiments. LOL. OOPS. We've got plenty of more games to get it right. :)

Patrick and Katie came down to visit us in G-Vegas! We went to opening day at the Swamp. Before the game we tailgated. We wore our collector's item t-shirts (someone put the colors of the Pepsi logo upside down and had Roman numerals for 26 instead of 2006 on the shirts - OOPS). UF beat Southern Miss. We had a ton of fun.
