New Boston Gear, Lunch with Elsie, and Farm Concert

Love their new Red Sox t-shirts and Boston hats!
We had lunch with Great Auntie Elsie. It was so fun!
Concert at Wright Locke Farm with Patrick, Katie, Jack and Max.
The kids wanted to make sure to get their early so they could get their faces painted and get a strawberry Popsicle. :) Katie brought pizza for dinner this time. The kids fed the goats, explored the farm, but spent most of the time dancing! It was so fun.
We are going to miss these concerts when we go back to Phoenix.

Rylie LOVED picking the wild daisies at the farm and making a bouquet!

Visiting Elsie, Biking on Lexington Trail, and Bocce

We have had a great time visiting Elsie. The kids are very sweet with her. This time we were visiting the kids were telling Elsie jokes. It was so fun to watch!
After visiting Elsie I took the kids to the bike path in Lexington.
It was fun for them to bike while I ran.
Watching the new Star Wars, episode #7 "The Force Awakens" with Pops.
It took them three days to finish the movie.
We've spent so much time outside during this trip to Boston. The weather has been amazing!!! The kids love biking and playing in the backyard. We eat breakfast and dinner on the deck.
We are soaking in the amazing temperatures!!
Bocce in the backyard, a Sylvester family tradition. Pops taught Derek and Rylie how to play.
The kids picked up the rules right away. Derek was really good! He was nailing all the plays and getting his ball right next to the small white ball "pallino."

Eric Carle Museum & Dinner with Elsie

We drove out to Amherst, MA (2 hours from Pops and Grammy's house) to visit the Eric Carle Picture book Museum. It was a great museum for kids with plenty of opportunity for interactive hands on activities. The kids loved the scavenger hunt, which allowed them to view all the exhibits in the museum. They had to find all the items the caterpillar ate in the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We watched a 30 minute documentary on Eric Carle's life and learned how he makes his pictures and where he comes up with ideas for his books. It was very informative.

There was a cool exhibit featuring Robert McKloskey (author One Morning in Maine, Blueberries for Sal and Make Way for Ducklings). These were some of my favorite books as a kid!

The museum also had an art room where the kids got to do a fun art project.
The kids got to design and create their own stamps and patterns.

Grammy bought the kids each a book written by Eric Carle from the book store.

Later that night we went out to eat at Cafe Escadrille with Great Auntie Elsie, Grammy and Pops, Patrick and Katie and family, and Dana and Hannah. We got dressed up and it was very fun. Rylie LOVED getting fancy and eating at a fancy restaurant.
We missed Daddy though.
